CGI Windows & Doors is a premier manufacturer of hurricane impact resistant windows and doors. Produced to the most exacting industry standards, our high performance, high aesthetic product collections offer advanced hurricane protection of home and commercial structures, in both new and existing construction.
Demonstration of part of the impact testing a hurricane resistant product is subjected to. To demonstrate an impact resistant window's ability to withstand damage and still perform during a hurricane, a nine foot 2x4 is fired at a speed of 50 feet per second; first at a single pane non impact resistant window and then at an impact window.
After an impact resistant window has been impacted twice it undergoes a hurricane simulation test designed to simulate both positive and negative pressures exerted by a hurricane on structures. This test plays a role in determining the maximum design pressure for which a product is approved. The test consists of 9,000 total pressure cycles that range from 1-3 seconds in duration.
CGI sponsors architectural symposiums as part of its architectural outreach efforts. This architectural symposium was in Deerfield Beach. Over 80 architects attended and earned 3 AIA learning units.
Noise from airplane jet engine is played, while opening and closing an impact resistant window to illustrate sound reduction properties of a CGI impact resistant window. CGI impact resistant doors and windows are designed to achieve a significant reduction in the transmission of sound. The combination of laminated glass and low air infiltration provides for a quieter, more private home or business.
CGI impact resistant glass provides 24/7 protection against intruders for you, your family and your belongings. Even if the glass cracks, it will still resist glass fallout.
