Doors
Our doors are designed and fabricated with the same quality and precision as our windows. For example, our doors include our patented concealed three point lock system, which is superior to other multi-point lock systems. Air Leakage – Reducing air leakage is important and can reduce your energy consumption. In addition to The Estate Collection’s energy efficient tinted, LoE and IG glass options, the Estate products are also designed and tested to lead the industry in preventing air leakage. Our products in most cases reduce air leakage to as low as 25% of allowable levels. This superior performance can significantly reduce energy costs when replacing old window and door products.
Acoustical Advantage – One of the advantages of laminated glass is sound abatement. Sound transmission levels may decrease by over 50% compared to single pane glass products. Not all impact products are alike when it comes to reducing noise levels. While all may have laminated glass, other considerations include glass thickness, air infiltration effectiveness and frame thickness. The Estate’s superior product designs provide advantages in many of these areas.
Blast Level Construction – To provide you with further piece of mind, know that when you choose products from the Estate Collection the vast majority of our products have been tested for and meet the Department of Defense’s blast resistant levels. While most installations certainly do not require such products, take comfort in knowing that your Estate Collection products have been engineered to these demanding standards.

It’s All In The Details

Energy Efficient – Not only are Sentinel products built for hurricane resistance, we also offer a variety of energy saving glass options to fit your needs. We offer a variety of tinted glass options as well as advanced energy glass types such as Lo E coatings and insulated glass.
Matching Site lines – If you have single hung windows (the kind that move up and down) have you ever noticed that the sightlines of the bottom and top unit don’t really match up? It may not sound like much, but a lot of windows on the market today are not built with this level of detail. The high end symmetrical styling you get with matching site lines will look impressive in your home. Once you see the difference, looking at windows will never be the same.
Capture Sash Construction –Our single hung and horizontal rolling windows enclosed u-frame “capture” sills are designed with rigid construction techniques. Most windows don’t get “captured” into this sill but rather float in the opening. The result is a product that is not as strong structurally, and more likely to leak. We believe that our capture sash construction offers greater impact and water resistance. It is the right way to build a window.
Weather stripping –We choose not to take shortcuts and instead offer additional features that really count. Weatherstripping is critical for energy efficiency and water resistance. Our products are constructed with a double seam of weather stripping to provide protection against the elements. It just made sense to us.
Fastener Assembly –Another shortcut we decided against has to do with our window framing construction. We use three #10 1 ¼ inch stainless steel screws to fasten each of our window frame corners together. Why do you care? Bigger and longer screws = Better frame strength = Better product longevity and hurricane resistance. Compare to others who use only two smaller #8 1-inch galvanized screws. It’s a big difference.
Aluminum Sections –Another important factor that affects product strength is the frame itself. Knowing this, we decided to offer our products with frames that are up to 30% thicker than others on the market today.
Super View Screens – Screens are not usually discussed, as they oftentimes detract from the windows. We took a different approach. We use a very sturdy extruded frame design (no plastic frame components) versus typical roll formed aluminum screens (generally thinner material). Most importantly, we added a super view screen material that offers unobstructed views.
